The Latest DC Comic Sends Yogi Bear to Poughkeepsie

Keep your eyes open for Yogi Bear. He may be on his way to the Hudson Valley.

The latest issue of Scooby-Doo Team-Up! from DC Comics picks up right where issue #69 left off; with Yogi Bear stuffed in a crate and being shipped out to Poughkeepsie by Mr. Ranger.

The Scooby-Doo Team-Up! series of comics mashes up different characters from different cartoon worlds. Currently, the Scooby Doo! crime fighting team is in Jellystone Park trying to solve a mystery while attempting to keep Mr. Ranger from sending Yogi to the Poughkeepsie Zoo.

It sounds like an exciting story, but can we talk about that Poughkeepsie Zoo for a minute? Who seriously thought that Poughkeepsie would be a good location for a zoo, even in a cartoon world? I know Poughkeepsie is a fun word to say, but these comic writers need to realize that the Queen City isn't exactly the best place to house live, exotic animals.
