April is autism awareness month, and Greystone Programs Inc., a nonprofit group serving five counties in the Hudson Valley, is doing something a little different this time around.  They are asking to take a leap for autism.  Literally.  It involves planes, parachutes, and a whole lot of fun.

Join Greystone Programs on Saturday, April 23 at Blue Sky Ranch in Gardiner, and spring into action.  You will be raising funds for life-enriching programs for more than  500 children, adults, and families with Autism and other developmental disabilities.  They are looking for tandem skydivers, experienced skydivers, and skydiving teams.  You must be at least 18 and weigh less than 225 pounds.  Spectators are welcome, too.

There will be live music and refreshments , including a special craft beer created just for this event by North River Hops and Brewing in Wappingers Falls.  For more information and to get involved,, call 845 452-5772 ext. 119 or visit http://takealeapforautism.causevox.com/ or https://www.facebook.com/events/115696938810717/
