The National Weather Service has updated the forecast for this Sunday.

Earlier in the week meteorologists were predicting anywhere from 5 to 7 inches of snow for the Hudson Valley. With such a mild winter, some were resigned to the fact that we were finally going to get socked with a storm.

The National Weather Service now says that the Hudson Valley will most likely see little to no accumulations. Sunday is now expected to bring rain and snow between 1pm and 2pm before turning to all rain with a high temperature of 40. Sunday night will get down to temperatures in the mid-20s, with just one tenth of an inch of precipitation expected.

The storm that was originally projected to hit the Hudson Valley will now mostly fall over Eastern Long Island and Connecticut. With the first day of Spring coming on Sunday, it looks like this season will go down as one of the least snowy winters in recent history.

Are you relieved that we won't be getting any snow? Or were you hoping to finally have some outdoor winter fun this weekend? Let us know your thoughts on the end to our mild Winter below or on our official Facebook page.
