Spring Break Weather to Reach 70s in Hudson Valley Next Week

Students who have off from school next week are in for luck, as the weather is about to finally start feeling like spring.

Many Hudson Valley schools begin their spring break on Monday, with schools shutting down ahead of the Easter weekend. Most students are probably planning to spend the week indoors playing Roblox or watching YouTube, but parents may want to start thinking of creative ways to get them outside to take advantage of some incredible weather.

While we expect to see rain for the next few days, dry weather is on the horizon and things will be significantly warming up. The National Weather Service says that after some remaining showers on Saturday, Sunday will be dry, setting the stage for a spectacular week.

From Monday through Wednesday, meteorologists are calling for sunny or partly sunny skies each day. Monday will be in the low 60s but temperatures continue to rise on Tuesday and Wednesday, reaching highs in the 70s. Things will get more cloudy towards the end of the week, but forecasters don't expect to see any rain until at least Friday night. Temperatures will remain warm through Easter.

Unfortunately, it looks like the Hudson Valley will return to the 50s for the holiday weekend but so far, no rain is forecast to thwart the Easter morning egg hunt. Average temperatures for this time of year are in the mid-60s, but that hasn't been the case as of late. An unseasonably cold spring has put the breaks on what is usually a busy time of year for outdoor fun.
