A help wanted ad asking for “No Haitians” posted in a local Rockland County newspaper has caused outrage on social media.

Lohud reports, the ad was allegedly taking out by Interim Healthcare Inc, a national organization that provide in-home nurse care in West Haverstraw. The ad which was published in the October 15th addition of the New City Pennysaver read, “Laid back nurse, no Haitians, must have strong respiratory mngt.”

It didn’t take long for the racist post to cause a social media uproar. That helped get the attention of Rockland politician David Carlucci. In a statement State Senator Carlucci said, "I am outraged at this blatant form of employment discrimination. This company should be ashamed of itself, and Pennysaver should strongly reconsider running any job postings from Interim Healthcare in future publications."

New City Pennsaver and Interim Healthcare, Inc have yet to respond on the issue. The ad has been pulled.
