Police: Woman Wields Wrench During Domestic Dispute

The woman also punched the victim several times in the face during the dispute. 

On Thursday, at approximately 12:35 p.m. Saugerties Police responded and investigated a domestic dispute.

Incidental to police investigation, Cynthia Lucas, 33, of Saugerties was arrested and charged with Attempted Assault third-degree, and Menacing third-degree.

During the dispute, Lucas allegedly punched the victim several times in the face and then threatened to physically injure the victim with a wrench she was wielding.

Lucas was arraigned in the Village of Saugerties Court and released on her own recognizance upon the court issuing a order of protection on behalf of the victim.

Lucas is scheduled to return to court next month to answer to her charges.
