Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating the suspect of an armed robbery that occurred Monday night. 

The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office is investigating a gas station robbery that occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. Monday.

Sheriff's responded to the Gulf gas station on State Route 9D in Fishkill for the report of a armed robbery.

Further investigation revealed that a lone man entered the gas station, displayed a handgun, and left on foot after stealing approximately $300 from the clerk.

Once police arrived, the suspect was gone, and a K-9 track yielded negative results. The clerk was uninjured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a light skinned male, approx. 5’9”, skinny build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and armed with a black pistol.

The suspect was last seen leaving the station on foot traveling north on State Route 9D.
