Police Investigate Fatal Crash in Wallkill

State Police in Middletown are investigating a two-car fatal automobile accident that occurred Sunday morning. 

The crash occurred at approximately 10:20 am on State Route 17M in the Town of Wallkill.

Dustin J. Mills,30, of Middletown, N.Y. was operating a 2005 Honda Accord east on State Route 17M. Robinson Perez,28, of New York, N.Y. was operating a 2011 BMW SUV west on 17M, when Perez left his lane of travel on struck Mills in the eastbound lane.

Dustin Mills was pronounced dead at the scene. Perez was transported Orange Regional Medical Center and treated for minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and the State Police of Middletown request that anyone who may have witnessed a blue BMW SUV traveling erratically on State Route 17M  West bound near Middletown at approximately 10:15 AM to contact SP Middletown at (845) 344-5300.
