Police: Four Dutchess County Businesses Sold Alcohol to Minors
Four Dutchess County employees were arrested following an Underage Drinking Initiative on Saturday.
The New York State Police perform checks regularly on retail locations to ensure their compliance with New York State's (NYS) Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Law and crackdown on underage drinking.
During the operation, State Police checked 22 businesses in Dutchess County. As a result of the operation, four employees of retail establishments were arrested and charged with Prohibited Sales of an Alcoholic Beverage, and Unlawfully Dealing with a Child in the First Degree.
- Antonio E. Guarino, 18, of Hopewell Junction, New York, an employee of “Sunoco” at 893 Route 376, Wappingers Falls, N.Y.
- Rocco D. Romeo, 70, of Poughkeepsie, New York, an employee of “Fishkill Wine and Liquor” at 986 Main Street, Fishkill, N.Y.
- Jeleannette M. Oquendo, 26, of Beacon, New York, an employee of “Wolcot Wine and Liquor” at 1020 Wolcott Ave, Beacon, N.Y.
- Aimee M. Rastadt, 28, of Beacon, New York, an employee of “Bob’s Corner Store” at 790 Wolcott Ave, Beacon, N.Y.
All four individuals that were arrested were issued appearance tickets returnable to court at later dates this month.
