On December 26th at 4:30 PM East Fishkill Police responded to a report of an interrupted burglary on Beekman Road in Hopewell Junction.  Police say that the homeowner arrived home as an unknown person ran from her house carrying property and fled in a car towards the Taconic State Parkway.  Detectives spotted the vehicle heading south on the parkway and stopped the vehicle in the vicinity of the I-84 interchange.

Detectives detained the driver, 47-year-old Christopher Videtto and found numerous items belonging to the homeowner in the vehicle.  Police claim that Videtto was traveling from Massachussetts through East Fishkill when he stopped at the Beekman Road home to commit the burglary.  Videtto was arrested on felony charges of Burglary in the Second Degree and Grand Larceny in the Third Degree along with the misdemeanor charge of Criminal Mischief.  He was arraigned in East Fishkill Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $150,000 cash bail or $300,000 bond pending future court appearances.
