Five juveniles have been charged with burglary in Ulster County.

On August, 29, 2018 Saugerties Police received a report of a past burglary that occurred at the large pavilion at the Cantine Memorial Sports Complex.

Members of the department's detective division were assigned to conduct the investigation.

It was determined that on August, 27, 2018, at approximately 2 pm, five juveniles (4 males, 1 female) had forced entry through a door on the second floor.

The ages of the juveniles were:

  • JV Male - age 13
  • JV Male - age 13
  • JV Male - age 14
  • JV Male - age 15
  • JV Female - age 13

While inside, the juveniles kicked a door open to a storage area, damaging the door. The door and frame had to be repaired in the amount of $500.

Over the course of a two week investigation, the juveniles were identified and charged.

They are all scheduled to appear in Ulster County Family Court at a later date.
