Police: 11-Year-Old Girl Beat Infant to Death

Ohio - According to police, an 11-year-old girl has been charged with murder in the beating death of a two-month-old infant.

The infant was staying overnight with the girl and her mother to give the mother of the baby a break.

As reported by CBS 6, the 11-year old and her mother were on the couch, and her mother apparently fell asleep around 3 a.m. Less than an hour later, the mother was awakened by her daughter holding the badly injured infant.

The mother immediately called 911 and the baby was flown to a trauma center and later died.
