Parolee Jumps Out of Window to Avoid Police in Poughkeepsie
Police attempted to question a man regarding an ongoing burglary investigation, and the man attempted to flee.
On August, 27, 2018, Detectives from the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department attempted to interview James McArdelle at a housing facility on North Hamilton Street in the City of Poughkeepsie in reference to an ongoing burglary investigation.
McArdelle, who is on parole in New York State, attempted to flee the area by jumping out of one of the building's windows and running away.
McArdelle was apprehended a short distance away with the assistance of the City of Poughkeepsie Police and Dutchess County Sheriffs.
He was charged Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, a felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Poughkeepsie Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail.
