Following a 3-month investigation police arrested an Orange County man for animal cruelty and neglect.

New York State Police at Monroe in conjunction with the Orange County American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals arrested 37-year-old, Eduardo Rubiera, of Monroe for aggravated cruelty to animals, a felony and animal neglect, a misdemeanor,

Rubiera was arrested and charged after a three month long joint investigation in which he was found to have allegedly failed to provide sustenance to a companion animal in the Town of Monroe.

Rubiera was arraigned in the Town of Monroe Court and was remanded to the custody of the Orange County Jail on a $5,000 cash bail. He was ordered to return to the Town of Monroe Court at a later date.
