An NYPD cop was caught on video telling a motorist that it's Mayor de Blasio's fault that he is getting a ticket, and that he would have never voted for the guy.

In the video, the officer tells the driver:

Mayor de Blasio wants us give out summonses, OK, alright? I don't know if you voted for him or not. I don't live in city. I wouldn't have voted for him because this is what he wants. He wants us to give out summonses

The 10 second video was uploaded on Saturday, before being removed on Monday. Police are unsure of when the incident took place, but the officer has been suspended during the investigation.

In 2014 De Blasio launched an initiative called Vision Zero. Vision Zero lowered speed limits to 25 MPH in many areas, added traffic cameras, and increased criminal charges against violators.

Reported by The Post, a spokeswoman for City Hall defended the Mayor's Vision Zero initiative saying:

Traffic fatalities are down 22 percent since Vision Zero started, making 2015 the safest year on city streets since record-keeping began.
