It's supposed to be the Happiest Place on Earth.

Well, maybe not so much for one Suffolk County man, and probably anyone who was within ear distance of him one fateful day back in July, 2015. That was the day the 57 year-old man planned to propose to his girlfriend in front of Cinderella's Castle, only to get into a physical altercation with a Magic Kingdom employee instead.

Now, the NY Post says the unhappy visitor is suing Disney World Parks & Resorts for ruining what he calls the important moment of his life.

Of course, Disney officials have a very different story.

The Orlando Sentinel says the whole fiasco stemmed from one Magic Kingdom employee telling the visiting tourist to simply move back three feet, for his planned proposal area was blocking a parade route. Sounds simple enough, right? According to the 24 year-old female employee, the man got so angry he got into the employee's face and even grabbed her.

The Sentinel says that an incident report even indicated that the man threatened to punch her in the face. That wasn't very magical of him.

After a very loud altercation, the man was escorted by security and arrested. According to documents provided by the State Attorney’s Office, the man later pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and was fined $100 plus court costs.

There is no word from the press whether the woman he planned to propose to ever said yes, or maybe found someone who didn't act like a petulant toddler in public.
