A brand-new medical marijuana dispensary just opened in the Hudson Valley.

On Friday, The Botanist officially opened at 247 Dunning Road in Wallkill.

"Hi Middletown! We are now open and would love to meet our local medical cannabis community," the Botanist wrote on Facebook. "Come pay our awesome staff a visit to ask questions and learn more about our product offerings. We look forward to serving and getting to know local medical cannabis patients here in Orange County."

The Botanist is open Tuesday- Saturday from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. The business is closed on Sundays and Mondays, according to the company's website.

According to the New York State Department of Health, you're  potentially eligible for medical marijuana if you have been diagnosed with one or more of the following severe debilitating or life-threatening conditions: cancer, HIV infection or AIDS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury with spasticity, epilepsy, inflammatory bowel disease, neuropathy, Huntington's disease, post-traumatic stress disorder or chronic pain. The Botanist joins Curaleaf Newburgh as medical marijuana dispensaries in Orange County. The Etain Health Medical Marijuana Dispensary is open in Kingston.
