My Lost Treasure: The Rolling Stones
Our theme right now on My Lost Treasure is size. Big, little, small, large, fat, skinny, etc. I thought it would be cool to kick off the weekend with a really old one from The Rolling Stones. So old, it featured Brian Jones. 1964, to be exact.
It is funny how some songs from the 1960s definitely fall into the golden oldie category in my mind. And others are absolutely classic rock. Same era, but in my mind, two different kinds of music. Most of the early Rolling Stones songs fit into classic rock but can also fit into an oldies format. But a song like The Archies Sugar Sugar is oldie all the way. I guess it's just the difference between pop and rock. Or, as today's case may be, blues rock.
Boris and I are on vacation until July 31, but My Lost Treasure will not be on vacation. If you have an idea for a size related song, please pass it along to me so I can use it for My Lost Treasure.
