Monday, March 26: Tig’s Rock Birthdays

Happy Birthday today (March 26) to Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler. He’s 70. Also celebrating is original Boston bassist Fran Sheehan (69) and Smashing Pumpkins co-founder and guitarist James Iha (51).

Steven Tyler rose to fame with Aerosmith in the 1970's with albums like Toys in the Attic and Rocks and a string of hits like "Dream On", Sweet Emotion", and "Walk this Way". Tyler was included on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Singers" Aersomith have sold over 150 million records worldwide and are the best-selling American hard rock band of all time. Some call the Aerosmith "America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band", and I'd have to agree. They totally rock!
