A lower Hudson Valley town has been named the safest town in America according to a new study. Safewise took crime data from the FBI to determine their rankings and Lewisboro, New York has been named safest.

Lewisboro is a town of just over 12,000 people. It's located in northern Westchester and borders Ridgefield, Connecticut on one side. Just two crimes were reported in 2016 and none were considered major. Oak Ridge, Tennessee, a town of nearly 30,000 and listed at number two, reported just seven crimes. Just outside of Boston, Wayland, Massachusetts rounds out the top three with just six crimes committed.

But that's not all, several other Hudson Valley towns cracked the top 100. For the full list you can link up here, but highlights include Rye at #13, Sleepy Hollow at #51 and Carmel at #80.

Unfortunately the news isn't all good as three Hudson Valley cities were named among the most dangerous in the state a while back.
