Partygoers were confused as a disheveled leprechaun was seen handing out delicious chocolates while doing some terrible dance moves on the riverfront.

You can't blame people for wondering what was up as The Boris & Robyn Show's producer, Meat Sandwich, made his way around the biggest Irish themed party to ever hit the Poughkeepsie waterfront. The unseasonably warm weather and sunshine drew a record crowd of attendees who were all dressed in green and ready to celebrate.

Our leprechaun was armed with hundreds of chocolate pops from Commodore Chocolatier on Broadway in Newburgh. Meat Sandwich's job was to sneak up on people and spread some Irish cheer throughout the afternoon. Attached to some of the pops were free drink tickets, which made for an even bigger surprise.

The Paddy on the River celebration included authentic Irish music, food and beer. So it only made sense to include our own dancing leprechaun. And if you think his moves weren't up to par, you should have seen what his dancing was like before the hours and hours of rehearsals and lessons he received.

Did you happen to bump into our leprechaun at Paddy on the River? We'd love to see your photos, you can share them on our Facebook page.
