The Amazing Hidden Secret in the Most Expensive House in Ulster County
If you clicked on the link then you're just like me: you can't afford a mansion but you sure as hell love looking at them. As I go through all of the most expensive homes in the Hudson Valley by county, one sticks out in particular: the Kingston castle with the coolest hidden feature I've ever seen.
Before we explore below ground where this castle's secret lies, let's check out the unbelievable exterior. This mansion was built near the Ashokan Reservoir and the town of Marbletown, giving it plenty of nature access in addition to the sprawling floorplans and multiple structures. it also contains what is in my opinion the coolest addition to any house: a secret tunnel.
While the idea of someone being able to afford a house that comes with such a staggering price tag quite frankly makes my head (and soul) hurt, listings like these are actually one of my favorite parts of the Hudson Valley. I love the idea that around every corner, or behind any random hedge, could lay an unbelievable property. Maybe it comes from where I grew up in Ulster County. We had rich neighbors with a guest house that was bigger than my actual house, but I could only ever catch glimpses through the trees.
Let's take a look inside one of the most intriguing properties in the Hudson Valley, and check out a FREAKIN' SECRET TUNNEL!
