A change in ownership has brought new life to the Pine Island Tap House shortly after announcing its planned closure in Orange County, NY.

Earlier this month, we learned that after almost five years in business, the owners of the Pine Island Tap House announced they would be closing for the final time at the end of February.

Tap House Closing in Pine Island, NY

At the time of the announcement, the owners at the tap house, located at 682 County Route 1 in Pine Island, NY, stated they would close for the final time at the end of business on Friday, February 27th, 2026.

Soon after the announcement, numerous fans took to social media to share how much they were going to miss the tap house, with one fan saying,

"I’m so sad and sorry to read this we loved your place it was truly a home to us and many people we can call family now thank you for giving us an amazing and fun place."

 

Another said,

"So sad to see this place close, we felt at home every time we walked through the door and will miss this place and staff terribly. Good luck with you future plans."

 

What Are the Future Plans?

A recent post on Facebook has informed fans of some big plans for the future at the Tap House. "Saying goodbye to our Tap House chapter after nearly five unforgettable years hasn’t been easy," said the post. "But we have some encouraging news to share!"

New Owners at Pine Island Tap House

The post explained that new owners are preparing to take over the tap house and are excited to keep it alive, welcoming, and community-driven. The current owners didn't say who the new owners are at this time, but did say they are preparing to bring fresh energy and thoughtful refreshment to the space.

It's unclear how long the tap house will stay closed after its final day on Feb. 27th, but the current owners did share how grateful they are that "the doors won't stay closed long".
