Don't Call it a Come Back: Mary Jane's Dairy Bar Returns After Accident
One of the more popular ice cream shops in the Hudson Valley, is just about to round out their first season back in business.
While preparing for the 2023 season, in February a car crashed through Mary Jane's Dairy Bar on Route 9W in Newburgh.

Thankfully, no one was in the building as it was their off season. However, the damage caused by the crashed forced Mary Jane's Dairy Bar to miss out on the 2023 ice cream season.
Popular Dairy Bar Returns for The 2024 Season
After a year of putting the pieces together again, and many costly repairs Mary Jane's Dairy Bar reopened in April of 2024. Owner Margret Gallo joined The Waking Up With CJ and Jess Show at the time to make the big announcement about the grand re-opening.
Mary Jane's Dairy Bar has been a part of the community since the 1960s bringing 48 different flavors to the Hudson Valley community.
In their first year back, they've been giving back to the community that has supported them throughout the years with different fundraisers for different organizations.
Newburgh, New York Ice Cream Shop Gives Back to the Community
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Mary Jane's Dairy Bar is serving up something special.
Mary Jane's will be hosting their 9th annual PINK-TACULAR kick-off event. On Friday, October 11th from 5 pm until 8pm guests can purchase a Pinkalicious sundae for just $6 (cash only).
The Pinkalicious sundae is Mary Jane's homemade pink ice cream with strawberries, pink sprinkles, whipped cream and a cherry. 2 local businesses have donated to the cause, Sinon Farms Inc donated the mix for the pink vanilla ice cream and whipped topping. Dingman's Dairy donated the strawberries.
Gallo shared with us that PINK-TACULAR is sponsored by the Marlboro Faculty Association. They're asking guests to wear pink when they visit as 100% of your donation will go directly to the cause.
Donations will benefit community members in Orange County that are currently going through cancer related illnesses.
