3 Hudson Valley Towns in The Running for Best Small Town in the Northeast

You've probably heard us mention US Today's Best List in some capacity over the years. Recently, Samuels Candy Shop in Rhinebeck and Kelder's Farm in Kerhonkson were seen spotted on the list for Best Candy Shop and Best Pumpkin Picking Farm in the nation.

Every so often the Hudson Valley will pop up on the Top 20 list USAToday releases, but this may be the first time the mid-Hudson region has been named 3 times.

Just recently the 10Best Small Town in The Northeast list was released and Ulster County and the lower Hudson Valley are representing.

As of Wednesday, March 13th, 2024, Saugerties is holding strong at the #4 spot for Best Small Town in The Northeast. Tarrytown comes in at #7, followed closely by New Paltz at #8.

According to USA Today, the 20 small towns on the list all have a population fewer than 25,000 and have been "nominated by an expert panel as the best for their gorgeous scenery, historic charm, local cuisine and cultural attractions."

Each reader gets 1 vote per day and voting will end on April 1st, 2024. A winner for Best Small Town in the Northeast will be announced on Wednesday, April 10th. Get those votes in now on the 10Best website.
