GRIMACE MANIA RAGES ON FOR THE METS

Last week we talked about the wild theory that Grimace helped catapult the Mets to a 7-0 win Streak after the purple stud threw out the first pitch at Citi field

Some detractors would have you believe in fact it was the Mets superior baseball skills on both sides of the field which led to their winning ways, but a large contingency , including yours truly, believe “Grimace Mania” to be running wild.

After their 7-0 streak came to an end at the hands of the Texas Rangers, some believed the Grimace era to be over. We don’t have time for that here. In fact the Mets are playing their best ball of the year and are still 8-2 in their last 10 games and had a heroes welcome  when they returned to  Citi Field which culminated in a subway series ending that saw the Metropolitans wallop the Yankees 12-2 in the final game against the cross town rivals.

Coupled with this recent announcement that July 10^th at Citifield will be “Grimace Bobble Head Night”
