Will Gadd, professional ice climber, as well as one of National Geographic's Adventurer of the Year, made history as he climbed Niagara Falls.He is the first person to ascend the frozen sections of Niagara Falls. The state teamed with RedBull, and filmed the event.

Ice climbing is not allow in State Parks, but Gadd was issued a special permit after a comprehensive safety plan was created.

The climb took place at the northern most part of Horseshoe Falls, and was about 140 feet (15 Stories).
