Hudson Valley’s 2014-2015 Winter Weather Prediction Looks Warmer
The Hudson Valley won't have a repeat of the chilly weather we experienced last year, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) winter outlook report.
The report predicts winter temperatures will be above average in the Hudson Valley, New England and the West Coast, while southern states will experience colder than average temperatures.
According to the NOAA's precipitation outlook, we can expect wetter weather in the lower Hudson Valley and average levels of precipitation in the rest of the region. The East Coast and southern states will see wetter weather, while the Great Lakes region and the Pacific Northwest will see a drier winter.
The Old Farmers Almanac's winter forecast differs sharply from the NOAA's, predicting bitterly cold temperatures and frequent storms for Hudson Valley and the Northeast.
