Hudson Valley Rotarians Fight Hunger
The Pleasant Valley chapter of Rotary International is holding their 7th annual Stuff the Bus food drive to support the Pleasant Valley Food Pantry. The event is being held in the ACME parking lot in Pleasant Valley from 10-3 on March 25th.
Former Pleasant Valley Town Supervisor and Rotary member Carol Campbell is the organizer of the event. Campbell finds it unimaginable that there are so many people in the community that need help to feed their families and provide personal care items that many of us take for granted.
Accordingly, Campbell and her fellow Rotarians are using this as their community service project to help combat hunger in Pleasant Valley.
In 2016 the drive filled the bus and collected $250 in cash to help fight hunger in the town. The Pleasant Valley Food Pantry, located at the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church on Martin Road, is in need of non-perishable food items and personal care items.
