A lot of us get frustrated at New York's high cost of living. it may seem harder and harder each year to earn a living.  But someone's got to be raking in the dough. There's certainly plenty of gigantic homes and properties tucked away in certain areas across the Mid Hudson region.

So where's all the money?

The USA Today Network's Albany Bureau have released their county by county figures, and not surprisingly, most of the state's richest are in Manhattan and the surrounding suburbs.

The number of New Yorkers earning $1 million or more increased by roughly 60 percent between 2009 and 2014. A total of 45,297 taxpayers in the state earned more than $1 million in 2014, the most recent year for which data is available from the state Department of Taxation and Finance.

So how many millionaires are living in the Hudson Valley region?

Dutchess County: 246

Orange County: 234 

Ulster County County: 94

Putnam County: 114

Sullivan County: 25

Westchester  County: 7,789

Rockland County: 573

Greene County: 22

Columbia County: 73

According to the data via the Poughkeepsie Journal, the number of millionaires living in New York state rose 15 percent between 2013 and 2014.
