This Saturday, Feb. 20, is one of the most fun events ever in the City of Poughkeepsie, and it is all for a great cause.  I am talking about the 2016 Tony Cappillino Golf Tournament to benefit area children.  Golf in the middle of the winter?  You bet.  It sounds crazy, but it is all inside.

It has become a yearly tradition in the River District of Poughkeepsie.  It has been going on for almost as long as I can remember.  You get to go from restaurant to restaurant playing golf and having fun.  The restaurants involved this year are The Milanese, The Derby, Amici's, Nick-L-Inn, Mahoney's, The Ice House, Noah's Ark, Caffe Aurora, and the Italian Center.  It includes lunch, buffet dinner, a t-shirt, player raffles, first drink, and a goody bag.

Shotgun start is at 11am.  To get involved and for more info, call Pat Rohan at 845 505-8452.  And remember, the proceeds will help area children in need.  Sounds like a plan.
