Movie plans for a paranoid thriller, set in North Korea starring Steve Carell have been squashed as a result of the computer hack to Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Twentieth Century Fox pulled the the distribution plans for the untitled film, which caused the production, New Regency to stop the development plans. The Film was written by Steve Conrad, and was based off a graphic novel "Pyongyang" by Guy Delisle.

Gore Verbinski was on board to be the director for the film.

This has all been a result of the hack to Sony Pictures, which is caused by the movie "The Interview", which has since been pulled from it's Dec.25 release. US Officials have stated that they have found linkage to the North Korean government, for responsiblity of the hacking.
