A 90-year old man died after being struck by a vehicle Sunday morning. 

On Sunday, at approximately 7:15 am, members of the City of Newburgh Police Department responded to the area of Grand Street and Park Place for a report of an injured pedestrian in the roadway.

Upon arrival, officers located an elderly man down in the road, injured from an apparent motor vehicle accident.

The involved motor vehicle fled the scene.

The man was transported to St. Luke's Hospital where he later was pronounced dead.

The man was identified as Fred Woolsy, aged 90.
