Monticello Police have announced the arrest of Nery Toxquifabian a/k/a Pablo Quinones, age 32 of South Fallsburg on Friday, December 21.

According to police, Toxquifabian was stopped Friday night in the Village of Monticello after receiving reports of a vehicle being operated erratically. After the stop, officers arrested Toxquifabian for felony driving while intoxicated because he had a blood alcohol content of .16 while having three children, ages 6, 8 and 9 in the vehicle with him. In addition to the felony, police charged him with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree and operating a vehicle without an interlock device.

Monticello police also say that Toxquifabian was wanted by the New York State Police on a bench warrant for Forgery in the Second Degree and offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree.

The defendant was arraigned in the Village of Monticello Justice Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $25,000 bail. The three children were released to relatives.
