Benefit Screening of The Last Waltz Tomorrow in Woodstock
Have you ever seen The Band's The Last Waltz? It's an amazing concert film that documents The band's final performance on Thanksgiving Day in 1976. The film is full of great musicians that joined The Band for the show, as well as interview segments. It's a must see for any music lover, and tonight you can see it and help send a kid to college.
Tomorrow night The Colony at 22 Rock City Road in Woodstock will be kicking off its movie night series with The Last Waltz. Dinner and drinks will be served, a $5 - $10 suggested donation will be collected, and all proceeds will go to benefit the Levon Helm Memorial Scholarship at Onteora High School. It's a Thanksgiving classic, for sure. Plus they'll be serving free popcorn. And The Band has such a rich history in The Hudson Valley, particularly in the Woodstock area.
If you've never seen The Last Waltz, head to Woodstock tomorrow, you won't be disappointed. And if you have seen it already, you know you want to see it again. Doors open at 7 pm and the movie starts at 8. Enjoy the show!
