The New York State Police and ATF National Response Team have completed an on-site investigation of the fire that occurred at the GAP Distribution Center in Fishkill.

The fire happened on Aug. 29 around 10PM and took firefighters from six counties hours to put out the blaze. The fire put around 600 people out of work.

This photo was circulating around social media sites, which may have provided clues as to how the fire started. The photo also showed boxes on fire in the picking area of the warehouse, where the fire was believed to have started.

The ATF National Response Team has concluded that the fire, according to a press release, was "Incendiary in nature, meaning that the fire was intentionally set." The ATF and the New York State Police are continuing to investigate.

Anyone with information that is relevant to the investigation, is urged to contact the State Police at (845) 677-7300
