Released in 1967, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" is now 50 years old. In honor of it's 50th anniversary, we're featuring the Beatles eighth album. The album was an immediate critical and commercial success, spending 15 weeks at number one on the U.S. charts, and 27 weeks at the top of the U.K. charts.

It won four Grammy Awards in 1968, including Album of the Year, making it the first rock album to receive that honor. More than 30 million copies of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" have been sold, ranking it among the best-selling albums in history.
