Wednesday will start out much like Tuesday.  Sunny, and chilly.  A cold front, will pass though the region which will increase clouds and possible bring in some showers. Doesn’t look like much in the way of showers.  More importantly, this is a very strong front, which will usher in the coldest air of the year.

Wednesday night, this cold air will push temperatures below freezing and cause widespread frost to most of the region.  This cold air will stay in place for the rest of the week.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Wednesday:  Mostly sunny and breezy.  High near 55.  A slight chance of showers in the afternoon.

Wednesday night:  Partly cloudy and breezy, low around 34.  Areas of frost after 10pm.

Thursday:  Sunny and breezy.  High near 47.

Thursday night:  Mostly clear, with a low around 32.  A light Northwest wind.

Friday:  Sunny, with a high near 59.
