The Village of Ellenville Police Department announced arrests in the terrifying home invasion that left a man pistol whipped and three children bound and held at gunpoint.

Nickolas Torres, 22, of Ellenville and Davonte L. Jones, 19, of Kingston were charged Wednesday after police executed search warrants at multiple locations in Ellenville the day before, according to the press release.

At 10PM on Thursday, Jan. 7, three masked men armed with guns forced their way into a Backman Avenue home where a man, a woman and four children lived, police said. The man was beaten with a pistol. He was later bound and held at gunpoint, as were a woman and three of the four children.

While executing the search warrants on Tuesday, the Village of Ellenville Police Department and the Ulster County Sheriff's Office recovered the guns used in the robbery, as well as much of the cash and property that had been stolen, authorities said.

Police brought Torres in for questioning Wednesday and by that afternoon he confessed and was arrested, according to the press release.

The City of Kingston Police Department brought Jones in for questioning after Torres was charged and he also confessed and was arrested.

Police are seeking a third person in connection with the robbery. The individual being sought has not been identified.

Torres and Jones were charged with robbery, burglary, criminal use of a firearm, unlawful imprisonment, conspiracy and child endangerment. Jones was remanded to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. Nickolas was remanded to the jail on $100,000 bail or $200,000 bond. They are do back in court on Tuesday, Jan. 19.
