As more and more people cut the cable cord and switch to online programming, Twitter is hoping to gain more users.

The NFL announced Tuesday that Twitter has won a deal to to stream Thursday Night Football games online. Twitter will stream ten games online for free, while CBS, NBC, or the NFL Network simultaneously broadcast the games, as reported by Time.

Twitter won the deal over Amazon, Verizon and Yahoo. The NFL and Twitter are both hoping that the deal will allow each company to gain a larger audience.

The terms of the deal have not been announced. However, Networks like CBS and NBC are paying about $45 million per game for the right to air Thursday Night Football contests.
