Tours of Bannerman Island Begin this Weekend

If you're looking for something to do this weekend, you might want to take a tour of Bannerman Island.

Saturday, May 11th marks the opening day of tours of the island. Two tours are on Saturday with the first at 11am and the last at 12:30pm and will run every Saturday and Sunday thru October.

Head to there this weekend and take a tour, have some fun and meet new people.  The boat will leave from Beacon and Newburgh where you can get to the island and take a walking tour after taking a scenic boat ride on the Hudson and tour the island.

Thousands of people visited the island last year alone and this year's tours should bring in even more. You can expect live music, workshops, food and more.

Pack a lunch, load the car and take mom and the family for some fun, educational time this Mother's Day weekend.
