Tig’s Metal Box: Remembering Drummer Vinnie Paul
The Metal Box is a weekly web series posted each Friday where we discuss all things hard rock and heavy metal: news, videos, interviews, live concerts and more.
This week we are talking about the recent passing of drummer Vinnie Paul (Pantera, Hellyeah). Skid Row guitarist Dave "Snake" Sabo revealed in an interview earlier this year that Skid Row's tour with Pantera in the early 90's was the best tour they ever did. Watch video above.
Vinnie Paul was a co-founder and drummer for Pantera (1981-2003). In 1990, the band was signed to Atco Records and released the album Cowboy’s from Hell. They released Vulgar Display of Power in 1992 followed by Far Beyond Driven in 1994, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Vinnie Paul died at his home in Las Vegas on June 22 after suffering a massive heart attack. He was 54. R.I.P. Vinnie Paul.
