After enjoying a warm week, the Hudson Valley will see temperatures fall well below average for the middle of May.

Sunday will see highs only in the upper 50s. A strong north wind, with gusts as high as 30 m.p.h. will make temperatures feel even cooler. Sunday night temperatures are expected to fall in the mid to upper 30s across the region.

The winds will stick around Monday, as highs will climb to the lower 60s under partly cloudy skies. Cold temperatures will prevail Monday night as lows will reach the 30s with some scattered frost possible especially in the higher elevations.

Forecasters say that temperatures should rebound to normal levels by the middle of week.
