The Giants’ Eli Apple Suspended After Keepin It a “Little Too Real” With Reporters
Is it over yet?
The fiasco of a season for the New York Giants continued Wednesday as the team suspended cornerback Eli Apple fo their final game this Sunday.
Coaches and teammates have apparently had enough of the brash 22 year-old. Teammate Landon collins had even referred to Apple as a "cancer" during an interview with ESPN radio Tuesday.
Apple's response when asked by reporters what exactly happened?
I gotta take a s--t!
Yeah, thanks for sharing Eli. Unfortunately, s**t may be the appropriate word for the Giants ill fated season.
The NY Daily News and ESPN are also saying Apple had gotten into it with Giants defensive backs coach Tim Walton. He later refused to practice with the team, according to reports. Earlier this season he was caught tweeting during a game.
Giants Interim GM Apple Kevin Abrams interim head coach Steve Spagnuolo decided they had enough and suspended Apple for Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins.
