‘Sons of Anarchy’ Final Season Casts Shock Rocker Marilyn Manson in Recurring Role
It’s been a good while since ‘Sons of Anarchy’ revved out any new details of the seventh and final season, but with the fall fast approaching, our first major casting bombshell has hit. Following notable guest turns in HBO’s 'Eastbound and Down’ and more, shock rocker Marilyn Manson will next bring his dope show to ‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7 in a recurring role.
As revealed by FX in a press release. Manson will play imprisoned white supremacist Ron Tully, a shot-caller who Jax uses to expand his power base. Previously, we'd heard series creator Kurt Sutter mention in his podcast that Manson might contribute musically to the FX biker drama's final season, while Manson himself issued a statement commenting on the cast addition:
Sons has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father's. So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of SOA is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle.
Elsewhere of ‘Sons of Anarchy”s seventh season, we know that the premiere will pick up at most a few weeks removed from the events of the season 6 finale, while series creator Kurt Sutter has confirmed the likely returns of CCH Pounder’s DA Tyne Patterson, Peter Weller’s Charlie Barosky, and ‘Deadwood’ star Kim Dickens as Diosa madame Collette. Additionally, series stars Drea de Matteo, David Labrava and Niko Nicatera have been upped to series regular for the final year.
Well, what do you think? Will Manson's role distract from the final ride of FX's 'Sons of Anarchy?' Tell us what you want to see from season 7 this fall in the comments!
