State Police from Putnam County have charged a woman after she was allegedly found to be driving four times over the legal limit of intoxication.

Wednesday afternoon State Police announced that on Saturday January 9th, 24-year-old Alexandra J. O'Donnell, of Patterson, was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

New York State Police from the Brewster barracks say troopers pulled O'Donnell over after she failed to stay in her designated lane of travel as well as other undocumented moving violations. After pulling over, an investigation by troopers at the scene revealed that O'Donnell was driving allegedly highly intoxicated.

The investigation proved to be true as O’Donnell provided police with a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .33%, which is more than four times the legal limit of intoxication.

O'Donnell was issued traffic tickets directing her to appear before the Town of Southeast Court on January 19th.
