Poughkeepsie Police Looking for Suspect in Attempted Burglary
On Wednesday morning a man attempted to burglarize a home, but fled after being confronted by a resident of the home.
At 10:40 am, Wednesday morning the Town of Poughkeepsie Police recieved a call from a resident on Thomas Avenue off of Route 44, reporting an attempted burglary at the residence.
The resident confronted the subject while entry was being attempted, and the man fled into the woods in a northeast direction. The subject was not located.
Area residents are advised to report suspicious activity in that area to the Town of Poughkeepsie Police or call 911.
The suspect is described as:
- About 5'7" or 5'8"
- Possibly in his 20's
- White male
- Wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt
- Wearing baggy black sweatpants with elastic on the ankle area
