A Hudson Valley woman, wanted by police for stealing a car in 2015, was arrested Monday for allegedly stealing another car while in the possession of drugs.

Monday, Stony Point Police arrested 23-year-old Angela M. Schlageter, of Stony Point following reports of a stolen car from the Village of Suffern.

Schlageter was located in the reported stolen car on Lake Road in Stony Point. Police say an investigation determined she did steal the 2002 Toyota from Suffern. Authorities would not provide any more details on the car.

During the police investigation Schlageter was allegedly found to be in possession of heroin and hypodermic needles.

She was also wanted by the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office on a bench warrant for a 2015 charge. In 2015 Schlageter was charged with stealing a car from a Stony Point ShopRite parking lot.

In addition to her bench warrant for grand larceny Schlageter was charged with grand larceny, petit larceny, 4th-degree criminal possession of stolen property, 5th-degree criminal possession of stolen property, 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument.

Schlageter was turned over to the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office for her warrant.
