State Police are investigating and seeking the public’s assistance into the shooting death of a Hudson Valley family dog.

On February 20, 2016, the New York State Police at Livingston began an investigation into the shooting death of a Siberian Husky from a Taghkanic Road residence in Livingston.

The Columbia County family reported their dog, Buddy Clover, had gotten off his leash and ran from home on February 18th. The husky was eventually located later that evening by a family member in a wooded area behind their home with an apparent leg injury. During the overnight hours, Buddy Clover, unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

The Round Top Animal Hospital evaluated the pet and discovered that he had been shot with a small caliber firearm. No one has been charged at this time.
