A pair of alleged drug dealers were caught in the Hudson Valley with over five pounds of cocaine.

On Wednesday around 1:30 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on the New York State Thruway in the town of Plattekill for alleged vehicle and traffic violations.

During the interview of the driver, 27-year-old Measia L. Brown, police say they developed a probable cause to search the car.

During the search, 2,357 grams of cocaine was found, police say. Brown and a passenger, 35-year-old Devon A. Richards of Albany were both charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, both felonies.

Both were arraigned in the Town of Plattekill Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail with no bail.
